Operation of the interlock

The buttons on the interlock are:

Pump: this button causes the STXM V chamber to be pumped out.

Backfill: this button causes the STXM V chamber to be filled with helium.

Vent: this button causes the STXM V chamber to be vented to atmosphere.

These are push-once-and-release buttons. The lights on the interlock are:
Pumping (yellow): on when the pump is on and the pump-out valve is open.

Venting (yellow): on when the vent valve to the helium bottle is open.

Vacuum (red): on when the pressure is below 1 torr.

Piezos (green): on when power is supplied to the piezos (pressure is greater than 100 torr).

Vented (green): on when the pressure is greater than 780 torr.

For the motor interlock, we have one switch for both the detector and Stage/OSA Newports and one switch for the ZSTG.

Detector and Stage/OSA Detector and Stage/OSA MM3000/XPS interlocked / Override

ZSTG ZSTG motor interlocked / Override

Position `override' disables the motor interlock and lets you move the motors. This position should be only used when the motor interlock went off and doesn't allow the movement of the motors anymore. Move the motors carefully out and enable the motor interlock as soon as possible!
