Connecting Delta Tau accessory board ACC-8S with ACS SPC-3 driver

The stepper interface board ACC-8S gets a ribbon cable from PMAC. It puts out step and direction pulses which are fed to the ACS motor driver. All motor connectors on ACC-8S are Phoenix type (each wire/pin is held by a screw).

Table 4.3 lists all the pin numbers to connect 25 pin connector on front panel of ACS SPC-3 interface module to PMAC ACC-8S board.

For stepper encoder and limit switches to work +5VDC has to be brought to the encoder and limits power supply inputs on the back of ACS crate (SPR-9 equipment rack). Connectors J20 (encoder power supply) and J9 (limit switches power supplies) need +5VDC on J9+V and J20+V; ground is connected to J9GND and J20GND. Connectors TB2 and TB3 of ACC-8S provide +5VDC on pin 7 for encoder power. Pin 8 is ground. Connectors J20 and J9 are 2-pin Phoenix type.
