Marking rectangles in an image

If you drag a rectangle in an image (hold the left mouse button), the rectangle will be marked, and its size in pixels, its size in microns and its center position will be displayed in the table below.

If you start a new scan with a rectangle marked on the currently displayed image, the scan parameters will be preset to scan exactly that region of the sample.

After marking a rectangle, you can also crop the displayed image (see Sec. 5.14.5) to export an image file of a certain region.
