Signal Type, Detector and Display Area

If you don't bother about the details of STXM 5 and just want to look at absorption images of your sample, then follow these rules:

• For images taken at the Outboard STXM, make sure "Signal Type" is set to "Predefined Combinations" and "Detector / Display" is set to "Counter."

• For images taken at the Inboard STXM, make sure "Signal Type" is set to "Predefined Combinations" and "Detector / Display" is set to "BF total."
