Calibrating the Detector

The dark (leakage) current of the chip can vary with ambient temperature, so the dark current calibration has to be done on a regular basis. Simply click the "Calibrate Now" button in SM_GUI. When setting up a stack, you can also tell that you want a detector calibration done every $x$ scans.

All other calibration parameters are constant and have to be determined only once when the detector is installed (or after changing the chip). See the silicon detector manual for details^10.1.
