Rebooting the server computer (Windows)

Press Ctrl-Alt-Delete (the most used combination under Windows), then go to Shutdown and select Restart. If this doesn't help, you may have to physically hit the Restart button on the computer, or even turn it off entirely. In the latter case, it may even help, to let it rest for a while.

You will definitely have to Home ZSTG after restarting the server computer. Make sure none of the detectors is in a weird position - inserted or retracted are OK, just the XDET should not be such, that the ZSTG will crash into a detector, when moving to its downstream limit. In sm_gui go to Advanced $\rightarrow$ Homing $\rightarrow$ Z Axis. This may take a while!

You will most likely have to remount the data folder on the client computer (see 6.8).
