sm_server has crashed

If sm_server has crashed or is not running at all, you have to restart it by hand. Close the gui (or what is open of it) and hit Scroll Lock twice on the keyboard to change over to the server computer. Log in as user micros and hit the desktop icon for sm_server. Hopefully the server will start up and say something like sm_server listening for new client. If this doesn't not work it is probably time to call for help. You may also inspect (also on the desktop) the file sm_server.log for further info.
If sm_server is back up and running, you can switch back to the client computer (double Scroll Lock) and try again to start sm_gui.
