Power filter box
A custom made cable connects the Banana-type outputs of the
Kenwood power supply to the back of the power filter box. The
front of the power filter box has
- 3 Lemo inputs labelled S1 through S3, which connect with
equal length coaxial cables to the corresponding
outputs of the timing module
- A DB25 connector connecting with the input on the detector
body. Through this cable, the power and the timing pulses for the
detector are provided.
- 3 switches to control the bias voltage for the silicon chip:
- On/Off switches the bias voltage on and off in general
- Int/Bat switches between the internal low voltage for
front illumination and the high battery voltage
(ca. 90 V) for back side illumination. Currently, the
detector is run only in back side illumination.
- 1.5 V/4.5 V sets the internal bias voltage. Since we
work only in back illumination for now, we don't really
need this currently.
