Unfortunately, the electronics and ADC channels do not necessarily
correspond to the detector segments with the same number. This is
because the detector chip was turned by 90 degrees after the
design of the electronics, and later flipped for background
illumination. Table 5 shows the
connection between chip segments, electronics and ADC channels for
the old inboard adapter.
For the new inboard and outboard adapters (and backside
illumination), ADC channels and detector segments should
correspond to each other. This is not tested yet.
We number the ADC channels as the detector segments, from 1 to 8.
In the software (IDL and C++), they will be numbered from 0 to 7.
Be a little careful, not everything might be 100 % consistent
with this convention.
