spectrum_scan just returns empty files, cycle the
power to the IOtech devise. When a spectral scan complains about the
SGM, connect to bnlx1l and stop and re-start the vaxmot server.
When a stack crashes, cycle the power to the IOtech devices and/or reboot the computer (memory problem). Check that you're still centered on your specimen before continuing the stack. Also, you need to modify your file with the stack instructions in order to avoid repeating the stack from the beginning!
