DAC problems

If the DAC crashes during a scan (scan hangs, ``ERROR'' light is on on the DAC), you may be able to get back to operation by typing the following on x1a-cryo.nsls.bnl.gov :

  % ibic
  : ibfind dac
  dac: ibwrt ``e?x''
  dac: ibrd 10

Make note in the log book of the error code that will be given (e.g., E096). If this does not bring the DAC back to full operation, exit the sxm program, cycle the power on the DAC and log back in.
