The Shutter/Photodiode

The sxm program uses the fast shutter that Stefan Vogt installed. To manually operate it, do as follows:

On BNLX1L, run IDL and do

IDL> pd_shutter,/open

to open it,

IDL> pd_shutter,/close

to close it,

IDL> pd_shutter,/status

to find out what it is doing in case the shutter (or you) are confused.
