Beamline interlock: further details

The interlock system uses the Allen Bradley SLC 500$^{TM}$ family of programmable controllers for its logic operations. It consists of a modular controller and 8 input and output modules to read the relay output of the gauges, to open and close the pneumatic valves according to the vacuum conditions and to provide power to the indicator lights on the interlock frontpanel and the panels at the experimental stations.
