Motor and controller info

The names, descriptions, and step sizes for the beamline motors are given in Table 4.1, while their connections with controllers and drivers are shown in Table 4.2. Both of these tables are in Chap. 4. Pinouts on the MDU-8 motor drivers are shown in Tables C.1 and C.2.

Table C.1: MDU-8 J1 connector pinouts. The connector is a 22 pin connector with 0.156'' spacing. The J2 connector has the same pinouts as J1, but it is used to supply return pulses as pseudo-encoder inputs.
Pin Description Pin Description
1 Logic ground 2 Logic ground
3 M0 direction input 4 M0 step input
5 M1 direction input 6 M1 step input
7 M2 direction input 8 M2 step input
9 M3 direction input 10 M3 step input
11 M4 direction input 12 M4 step input
13 M5 direction input 14 M5 step input
15 M6 direction input 16 M6 step input
17 M7 direction input 18 M7 step input

Table C.2: MDU-8 J3 connector pinouts. The connector is a 22 pin connector with 0.156'' spacing. A closed circuit between the limit input and ground means ``not at limit'', while an open circuit means ``at limit.''
