The connections described above actually involve both the NSLS X-1 Front End interlock and the NSLS X-1 ``hutch'' interlock units. Therefore, a harness with two connectors H1 and H2 is provided to simplify cabling between these two units and the X-1A beamline interlock. In the description below, C15 and C16 refer to connectors on the X-1A interlock unit, while H1 and H2 refer to connectors on the harness for connection to cables leading to either the X-1 front end unit or the X-1 hutch unit, respectively. H1 is a 9 pin female connector with male pins, and H2 is a 16 pin female connector with male pins.
| H1-1 | C15-1 | FEVNO | Front end vacuum in (N.O. relay |
| H1-2 | C15-2 | FEVC | closed by NSLS when pressure below set point) |
| H1-3 | C15-3 | MONO | Mask open (N.O. relay closed |
| H1-4 | C15-4 | MOC | by NSLS when mask not closed) |
| H1-9 | C15-7 | Shield | Cable shield (Tied to AC ground at X-1A interlock unit) |
| H2-1 | C15-5 | ASNO | Automatic shutter (N.O. relay |
| H2-2 | C15-6 | ASC | closed by NSLS when in auto mode) |
| H2-3 | C16-1 | EMNO | Enable mask (N.O. relay |
| H2-4 | C16-2 | EMC | closed by X-1A when OK for mask open) |
| H2-5 | C16-3 | EMNC | (N.C. relay open by X-1A when OK for mask open) |
| H2-6 | C16-4 | AACNO | Branch line A active (N.O. relay |
| H2-7 | C16-5 | AACC | closed by X-1A when X-1A active) |
| H2-8 | C16-6 | BACNO | Branch line B active (N.O. relay |
| H2-9 | C16-7 | BACC | closed by X-1A when X-1B active) |
| H2-10 | C16-8 | Shield | Cable shield (Tied to AC ground at X-1A interlock unit) |
