X1A Beamline SafetySafety is of overriding importance in operations of the X1A beamline, and in any of our activities. According to your NSLS safety training, you have the right to issue a stop work order in any situation where you feel that safety is being compromised. Further information on beamline safety issues to be aware of is given in the first chapter of the beamline manual.

With that information in-hand, contact the operations coordinator. At the beamline, dial 3456, wait for a beep, dial 5824, wait for another weird sound, and dial 5601 (X1A's extension). The operations coordinator will call you back and ask for the ID number on the safety approval form that you want to post.
