Graduate Student Position AvailableWe have a research assistant position open. Our general interest is in developing new methods in x-ray imaging, and in applying these methods to studies in biology, environmental science, and materials science. Some students work more closely with developing new experimental apparatus, while others concentrate more on computational methods for image reconstruction and spectrum analysis. We make use of coherent x-ray facilities at Brookhaven National Laboratory (where we operate a scanning microscope we've developed), at Argonne National Lab near Chicago, and especially at Lawrence Berkeley Lab in California. This position is open to students in the PhD program in Physics & Astronomy as well as in Biomedical Engineering. To inquire, contact Prof. Chris Jacobsen. |
